Julius Everett Freeman

BIG E

December 21, 1928 – April 18, 2018

Julius Everett Freeman (Big E) 89 years young was born to Chester Grady and Chellie Mae Freeman on December 21st 1928 in Clinton Oklahoma.  Big E went home to the Holy Kingdom on Wednesday April 18, 2018 at 4:45 p.m. after suffering from pneumonia complications.

Big E is preceded in death by his wife of 58 years Willa Jean Freeman, his parents and one brother, Ernest Freeman.  He is survived by three children, Cathy Lynn Riddle, Stephen Ray Freeman and wife Barbara, Vickie Diane Wolf and husband David Wolfe, eight grandchildren, Rick, Daryl, Nicole, Jennifer, Sarah, Matt, Ashley and Ross, 14 Great Grandchildren and a host of other family members and many friends.

Big E was a member of the Naval Reserve where he served briefly on a Destroyer Escort.  He was a member and Deacon of The Seventh Day Church of God in Del City, Oklahoma and a lifetime member (#974) of Downed Bikers Association, Oklahoma City Chapter.

He quit school after the 8th grade to help take care of his family and worked briefly as a soda jerk in a local drugstore.  He became a self taught oilfield electrician working for Dorchester Electric for a couple of years before striking out on his own and opening up United Electric Company.  He was offered a position as head of the electrical department for Helmerich & Payne International Drilling, where he worked until he retired.

Big E was one of a kind.  He loved golf, going to the lake and mostly riding his trike with his family and his motorcycle family, especially his Downed Bikers Association brothers and sisters.  He never met a stranger and would give you the shirt off his back.  He loved everyone unconditionally and everyone loved him.  He definitely set the bar high for the rest of us.
